India pacer ruled out of ODI series against New Zealand
ICC published a report titled “India pacer ruled out of ODI series against New Zealand,” reporting that Prasidh Krishna will miss the five-match series. The right-arm pacer was named in the initial squad, but his participation depended on fitness and he could not secure clearance.
Krishna is recovering from a hamstring injury sustained during India’s tour of England and needs more time to build the workload required for competitive action. All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will remain with the India squad for the first ODI against New Zealand, scheduled for 4 November in Auckland.
After that match, Reddy will join India A for match practice ahead of the two-match ICC World Test Championship series against New Zealand. The Test series begins on 19 November 2026, while Mohammed Siraj will join India A for the second four-day game in preparation.
